The official case competition club of the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics
Jeux De Commerce (The Business Games) Central is an undergraduate business school competition hosted by the Canadian Association of Business Students (CABS). Each year, participating schools compete in a multitude of interdisciplinary fields, including eight academic case fields, parliamentary business debates, social challenges,
charity contributions, and sports events.
Students at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University have continuously shown their excellence at JDCC by winning eight School of the Year awards, five Academic Cups, and countless other accolades throughout the delegation's 10+
year experience at JDCC.
Laurier Case Team's new Case Awareness & Student Engagement
program strives to foster a community where first-year students are able to develop and strengthen their case analysis skills with a focus on personal and academic growth.
This team will be hosting interactive workshops that focus on building the
critical skills needed when tackling a case through the use of examples, mini cases, and discussion. Students will have the opportunity to connect with experienced case competitors, and also attend feedback sessions where LCT members will provide valuable insights on projects and cases.
Delegates representing the Laurier Case Team regularly compete (and win) at international competitions. Laurier has always punched above its weight class, competing alongside schools like the Rotman School of Management (UofT), HaaS School of Business (UC Berkeley), and countless others.
Delegates on the team have shown how great it is to be a Golden Hawk at competitions in Portugal, Japan, Ireland, and all over the world. No matter where the team travels, we can always count on our delegates to proudly showcase our values of community, creativity, and sportsmanship!
